The Tarnoff Art Center includes an impressive roster of accomplished and professional art instructors, with modern, fully-equipped, insured studios.  Currently the TAC offers a combination of art workshops to the general public and groups; TAC also has children’s classes year round (with 60% of students on full scholarship), low cost art classes for locals and open studio opportunities, (where locals can get together with other artists and make art).

TAC also has it’s own art gallery on campus!  The Anna Maria Saroni Community Gallery, (AMS Community Gallery), has 6- 10 Exhibitions, (with receptions), scheduled per year open to the community. The AMS Gallery is not only an exhibition space,  but also hosts many happenings and TAC events.

Some up coming events are;  Salons / Group Critiques; where artists may bring their art to share with others, get feedback or / support. Lectures: Several Exhibitions in the AMS Gallery will also host a lecture or demonstration that is in sync with the current show.

Other TAC services include; studio rental, private instruction, fiscal sponsorship, (to local non profit organizations), community meeting space, and more. TAC has also formed project PAACE, (Pecos Area Arts Collaboration Endeavor), this projects’ aim is to provide arts programs to local organizations and groups in the Pecos and surrounding areas whom cannot fund art programs independently.

Our most established program through PAACE is our partnership with the Pecos Independent School District of San Miguel County.  This involves providing students with art education in a year-round, after-school program, as well as intensive workshops every Summer.  This program has been going strong since the Fall of 2009.  In our after school program, 60-75 students attend each year and  in our summer program, about 100-125 students attend. These students have no art program in their school. Since 2009, we have proudly provided art education to the students of the Pecos Independent School District whom would otherwise have none,  and we believe have transformed and had a great impact on many lives!
